The all-new 2023 Honda Civic Type R is the most powerful and fast Honda vehicle ever to be sold in Canada; and if you are already under the current Type R’s charm, then you will be head over heels for this new model-year. 

In fact, the 2023 Civic Type R is equipped with a 2.0 L 4- cylinder turbocharged engine with power that now reaches 315 horsepower and 310 lb-ft. maximum torque; this is 9 horsepower and 15 lb-ft. more than the current version.  It is coupled with a performant 6- speed manual transmission, for an even sportier driving experience than ever before.  A new suspension and new direction are included, as well as a lighter body, making this Type R incredibly performant and capable of offering surgical precision even at high speeds. 

Moreover, it will also be possible for you to select your preferred driving mode: you will have the choice between the Comfort, Sport and +R modes, as well as a new “Individual Mode”, for a more customized driving experience than ever. 

A bold and stunning design that says a lot about the performance it offers

Longer, lower and wider than the last model, the 2023 Honda Civic Type R also boasts larger tires, which gives it an even more dynamic style.

The hexagon-patterned radiator grille, the underbody deflectors (side skirt), the wider rear doors, the 3 exhaust tips and the entirely redesigned rear also contribute to its bold and stunning style. 

Moreover, this sporty Honda gives you the choice between 3 body colors: Rallye Red, Championship White and Sonic Gray Pearl. 

An interior that will knock your socks off

Based on performance and emotion, the 2023 Civic Type R interior will certainly seduce you!  With suede upholstery that allows your body to stay in place –without slipping- even at high speeds, this Honda sports model also offers instrumentation with a +R driving mode and a LogR data logger; these features allow the driver to view loads of important information at a glance, like engine speed, a chronometer and several other real time data regarding the vehicle. 

The seats boast the stunning red trims that are typical of the Type R, you will have a metal gearshift and a plaque with the serial number inscribed on the dashboard, amongst other things. 

The driver’s position is lower than that of the current model, and yet visibility is superior, thanks to redesigned and thinner body pillars, a lower hood and repositioned exterior mirrors.

The Civic Type R has an all-new digital screen that provides you with clear and easy to read graphics, a second screen that is exclusive to the +R mode, a lighted rev counter that reminds us of those on the Formula 1, as well as added technologies such as:

Price and release date
